FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
We are a family owned and operated business based in Gahanna, Ohio. Coffee is something we enjoy and have found a passion for creating blends of coffee. We wanted to make those blends available to everyone and of course have some fun doing just that.
If you sign up for email notifications below, you can rest assured I am too dang lazy to be bugging you with spam. However, I will let you know when we add a new product and when something is restocked. Use the contact form below to send us feedback and questions. We can't promise we will respond to all but we will read them.
Find us on Facebook and Instagram as well.
Have you Bean Aroused today? If not, break out the tools of the trade, get Grinding, and make things Hot and Steamy. Whether you are using a french press, a drip coffee maker, or a single cup machine; we hope you get satisfied.
We really enjoy coffee. Duh. We also have a sense of humor and we hope you have fun with our company name and product names. It's coffee after all. Sometimes we like to try new things so come back and visit the site once and a while. We might have some new blends added, which you may want to try out.
Acidity versus Bitterness. Acidity good. Bitterness Bad. Acidity is what gives coffee that little bit of snap on the end of your tongue and is important. Without it you are simply drinking hot dark water.
Bitterness comes from brewing too much coffee at a single time, using too hot of water, and old coffee maker, or a dirty coffee maker. Wellll maybe being a little dirty is okay. Avoid these mistakes for a great cup of our coffee.
We strive hard to provide great tasting fresh roasted coffee beans. You will surely see a difference from a recently fresh roasted cup of coffee when compared to something in the store off the shelf. We encourage you to be aroused by the natural taste of our coffee but we understand you freaky ones like to mix it up a little with creams and sugars. We are just happy to be a part of your day.
Coffee Hates Oxygen
Coffee is normally stored in standard pouches with one-way out-gassing valves. This allows the roasted beans to off-gas carbon dioxide and not allow in oxygen. These bags will work just fine if you are a regular daily drinker; however, if you are a weekend drinker (coffee is what we are talking here, I like whiskey myself - sorry off topic), then I encourage you to get a container which seals (mason jar, etc) the beans away from the oxygen.
We store our roasted beans in a way to keep oxygen away until your needs - i i mean your order - needs fulfilled. Then we package in the pouches for shipment at the time of your order.
Here are some measurements for coffee makers which we use to provide a satisfying experience with our coffee. These are just suggestions. But come on, only you know what it takes for you to Bean Aroused.
12 Cup Drip Coffee Machines
1-2 oz - About 5-6 tablespoons
5 Cup Drip Coffee Machines
and French Press
1 oz- About 4 tablespoons
1 to 2 Tablespoons
Optimal brewing is 195 deg to 200 deg
Too Hot - over-extraction occurs
Too Cold - under-extraction occurs
Either of these will cause a bad taste of any coffee. Avoid softened and hard water. Filtered water is always best.
We will let you know about new products, sales, and when product is back in stock. No Worries. I am too damn lazy to be creating and sending spam emails.
